STEM Education in Laurel Summer School
This Summer we had the opportunity to host three weeks of Summer School at Laurel Elementary with an emphasis on STEM based learning. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and uses an interdisciplinary and applied approach to learning. For example, students spent one afternoon building a bridge with straws, applying their knowledge of mathematics, engineering and technology to a physical project.
