Locations

We currently have two Toys for Hope locations from the greater Barrio Logan area in San Diego, to Oceanside in North County.  We are excited to host both of our events at locations that host our HLA Academies and therefore get to bless not only families we serve on a weekly basis, but the entire community!  We hope you’ll partner with us in a community near you.

Oceanside

Oceanside, California is a beautiful, coastal city in North County, San Diego. In 2017 we launched the first Academy in Oceanside at Laurel Elementary for 3rd-5th Graders. We are currently working with Jefferson Middle School to launch an Academy January of 2018. Our desire is to walk with students each year of elementary, middle and high school, and into college.

Downtown San Diego

Barrio Logan is a beautiful community, rich in historic culture, with strong family values. HLA launched its first Academy here at King Chavez in 2013. One thing we love about this community is the impact across generations. Families in Barrio Logan are proud of their community, and desire to raise their family where they grew up. We see many students that live with not just their parents, but grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We have now launched two Academies at King Chavez Schools, including the elementary and middle school.

FAQ

If I want to attend with my family, do I need to register?

Great question!  No, you do not need to register to go through the Toys for Hope experience with your children & family.  We hope you’ll join us at one of our locations.

Can I volunteer for just a few hours of the event?

We would love for you and your family to join us for the day if possible!  However, we understand that not everyone can make that commitment so please consider helping sort toys on Friday evening, or doing set up or take down on Saturday.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’d love to help find the best volunteer fit for you and your family!

Can my kids volunteer with me?

YES!  We absolutely love having kids be apart of the event, and have marked “Kid Friendly” job positions on our volunteer link.

I have a talent, gift, occupation that I would like to donate to the event (aka I am a barber)!

Please reach out to us!  We can’t guarantee we can utilize it this year (however maybe!!), but we’d love to discuss how to partner with you and offer it to our incredible attendees.

Do you have more questions?  Please contact us, we’re happy to help!
