Sarah Katsiyiannis

Lead Academy Coordinator
Sarah is a San Diego State University graduate, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Creative Writing. While in college, she accepted Jesus into her heart and began serving in kids ministry at church. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s Degree at SDSU in Creative Writing – Poetry. Her love for poetry began after her parent’s divorce when she was nine years old. She moved from overseas to America, and writing poetry helped her to process her emotions and express them on paper.
With over 100,000 followers on social media, Sarah is an accomplished poet, with her spoken word poetry being a powerful platform for sharing the Gospel. One of her poems was selected for inclusion in an off-Broadway production at the Don Powell Theatre at SDSU, raising thousands of dollars for San Diego Youth Services.
Beyond her writing pursuits, Sarah has gained valuable experience as a newsroom production assistant at KPBS, voicing over 100 news stories for 89.5FM. She has also worked at a marketing firm in West Hollywood. Currently, she is enthusiastic about her role at Hope Leadership Academy, where she enjoys teaching and discipling children.
