Kyle Younes

Volunteer Director
Kyle likes to describe his life mission as introducing people to Jesus and having fun! He was radically saved at 20 years old and is a first generation Christian that knows firsthand the impact a youth leader can have on a child’s life. After attending youth group for one year, he never forgot the love he experienced from his 7th grade youth group leaders. Now Kyle has dedicated his life to investing in youth and spreading the gospel with the tools the Lord has given him. He’s very passionate about raising up future leaders and surrounding them with volunteers that will impact their lives just as he experienced.

Kyle attended Horizon’s School of Evangelism in 2007 and was sent out from Horizon North County as a missionary to Macau, China in 2009. He spent seven years faithfully working along side Pastor Rusty Birkeland and Horizon Christian Fellowship Macau doing skate ministry, serving as a prison chaplain and doing youth ministry. He currently works full-time at HLA alongside his amazing wife, Anna, and says he’s “living the dream!” He’s working towards his Bachelors Degree at Calvary Chapel University. If he’s not doing ministry, you’ll most likely find him surfing and enjoying San Diego’s amazing Mexican food.
